  1. I think your portfolio is off to a great start! It caught my eye but was not overly colorful. I also like how your resume is the first thing you put up there because it really is the most important. One formatting improvement I would make would be to bullet your skills so they stand out more to potential employers. Adding bolded headings (education, work experience, etc) would help them stand out so they can be found easier. Adding line breaks or a line space in between jobs would also help potential employers distinguish between sections. I would also suggest paragraph indentations on your home page. It is important to format your portfolio like you would format a paper, the same rules should apply. I hope my advice has helped you. Good luck working on your portfolio, when its finished it will be something you can be proud to show potential employers!

  2. Hi Jesse,
I think that its a great idea to do an online portfolio that helps to showcase yourself to employers. You will want to add additional information about yourself as a student and athlete and a professional. Your actual resume could use some work as well. You have some good experience but need to highlight it better. I would spell out Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies, add your GPA if over a 3.0. List your most recent positions first which highlight your transferable skills. Here is a link to the ASU career services site that has resume advice. http://students.asu.edu/career/resumes Also, I would make an appointment with them for a resume consultation.

  3. Nice webpage. Yea, it could use a little bit of work, but it is a excellent start. The picture really sets the mood. You should make it a look very organized and professional also, because you never know who could be looking at it! As mentioned in the other post, going to career services is an awesome help. I personally went and found more resources than I even knew existed.
